At the weekend I took part in Jut’s Jolly Jog/Jeff

17km of trail in and around Lavendon, Buckingham in aid of William Crook’s Brighter Future Fund.
Carrying 17kg on my back for training with a little fundraiser of my own planned on the 22nd March (more to come), I thoroughly enjoyed the longest run I’ve done in 2 years

I loved the CP raffle books, community & every kilometre was somewhere I’d never been before.
The local typography isn’t exactly hilly, yet with untrained legs and 20% of my bodyweight on my back, the little ups punched hard, whilst ankle deep sloppy mud made the closing descents reminiscent of a slip and slide.
But more important than the run was the reason for its running, in memory of William Crook and the local community gathering to remember and raise funds in his memory.

Cheers Justin Crook & co for a grand day out
